Profile:
Dianne van Hemert studied psychology and received her PhD in cross-cultural psychology in 2002. She worked as a postdoc at Tilburg University and the University of Amsterdam, with a focus on doing psychological research across cultures as well as teaching. Having worked as a senior research scientist at TNO for more than 13 years, she has extensive experience in leading and conducting social scientific research projects for the Netherlands MoD, the UK MoD, the Dutch Police, and the European Union. She has specialised in research on radicalisation, polarisation, deviant behaviour in public areas, cultural differences and similarities, behavioural influence, and modelling of behaviour. Dianne serves as the technical lead of the TNO part of the work, working towards a scientifically grounded and practical Child Vulnerability and Intervention Tool.
